We search far and wide to find people who want to share our vision and help continue our journey.We are on the hunt for an Assistant Store Manager who can bring a wealth of retail knowledge, expert guidance and an encouraging attitude to help lead and support our New Plymouth Store.What will you do in this role?Be responsible for leading our experienced Department Managers and our sales team.Identify areas and opportunities for improvement.Drive a culture of world-class customer service through your management team and take the business forward through expert leadership.Play a key role in setting the direction required to enable great performance.Develop and encourage commercial focus in your Department Managers.This role is all about motivating and inspiring your managers and team to provide an outstanding customer experience. Passion and knowledge of fashion, homewares and lifestyle categories are a must. You'll have an expert eye for detail, know what is trending in retail and how to provide an outstanding customer experience through visual merchandising and leading from the front.What are we looking for?Previous experience managing large teams, or in multi-site/cluster management.A proven history of driving sales and delivering results through coaching and inspiring your sales teams.Strong communication skills both written and verbally, including the ability to deliver sales training programmes.Experience with change management is an advantage.Great organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to effectively meet deadlines.What can we offer you?The opportunity to thrive within a large format business.Variety across a role that offers personal growth and support.A sense of belonging and community spirit.A generous staff discount package across the Farmers and James Pascoe Group.A structured training programme to support you as you learn all about our business and way of operating.This is a Full-Time role and will involve weekend work and flexibility for early starts and late nights as part of the management roster.We are an energetic and collaborative team that look out for and support each other.
