Experienced Chef

Nikau Cafe and Bar is a family-owned business, open 7 days, right across the road from POHARA BEACH in BEAUTIFUL GOLDEN BAY. We offer casual dining in a unique location, serving breakfast, lunch, and evening dining. An exciting opportunity has been created for an experienced chef to join our team. This is a full-time fixed-term position role with an immediate start ending in April, with an opportunity for a full-time contract for the right candidate.
Responsibilities Be a great team leader with excellent communication skills.
In conjunction with the owners, develop menus based on the latest trends incorporating our local products and suppliers.
Have an understanding of Health & Safety obligations, food control plan compliance, and food costings.
Monitor presentation of all meals ensuring they are served to our consistently high standards.
Have great organization skills and maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
