About Raw Essentials Raw Essentials is on a mission to improve the life of every cat and dog by helping owners feed what's naturally best for their pet.
We're recognised as the raw feeding experts, operating from 16 stores across New Zealand, and offering personalised advice and a wide range of locally sourced and 100% natural products - that pets and owners lap up.
We're looking for a passionate person - who live our values of being friendly, curious, responsive, knowledgeable and essential - to continue to nourish our Howick store
About the role You and your team, will provide advice and education for pet owners, to help their dogs and cats eat their way to better health, through a consistent level of outstanding service.
This is a full time leadership role working 5 days (approx.
40 hours across Tuesday to Saturday).
You will be responsible for overseeing all store operations including staff management, stock control, client case management, business development along with the day-to-day running of a retail operation.

Our stores get regular frozen deliveries, so you'll need to be strong, active and willing to get 'stuck in', in order to unpack deliveries and keep the freezers fully stocked.
About you You must have strong people management experience, a customer service orientation, and be business savvy.
A qualification and experience in the veterinary field or related industry is desirable.
You will have an active interest in raw feeding for cats and dogs, and a passion to engage with people.
Full training in all aspects of raw feeding for cats and dogs will be provided.
Our ideal candidate will: Demonstrate strong business management experience, preferably in retail or customer-oriented industry or the veterinary field Be an experienced people manager who enjoys coaching their team and leading by example Be passionate about natural animal health & well being with a strong interest in raw feeding Have an excellent customer service focus and strong work ethic Have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to network and build strong business relationships Have no issues with lifting heavy boxes (up to 20kgs) of stock Have the ability to travel within Auckland on occasion and must have a current full NZ drivers licence with own reliable transport Have a veterinary or other animal-related qualification or background (preferred but not essential) What's in it for you?
