As Trauma Quality Improvement Programme Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our Te Manawa Taki (Midland) Trauma Hub team. We are a network of devoted clinicians, researchers, and technical data management staff, dedicated to ensuring the application of best practices in trauma care.
Our clinical network is backed by a central hub service dedicated to assisting patients affected by physical injury, their families, and the wider community.
As a team, we work tirelessly to ensure trauma patients receive the best care, regardless of when, where, or how the incidents occurred. We are trailblazers in trauma system development, having pioneered the first regional Level 1 trauma system in New Zealand.
About You
We are looking for a self-driven team player who thrives on teamwork and has a genuine passion for making a difference. The perfect candidate will shine in the areas listed in the position description.
We require a person who has:

Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly in healthcare settings.
A clinical background with at least four years of experience
Excellent communication skills with the ability to write reports, design forms, retrieve data, speak effectively and support all levels of management, staff, and the community
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
A high level of computer and internet skills including but not limited to Windows and Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
Mathematical ability necessary to validate and analyse data
Ability to self-educate and develop a thorough knowledge of current trends in trauma quality improvement.

If you have the proven experience and enjoy a challenge, then this is the opportunity for you, and we want to hear from you
