Working alongside and supporting your colleagues across Te Waipounamu region you will form enduring relationships while understanding the context of your region.
This includes:Supporting the region to deliver on the work programmeSupporting the Regional Director and Team Leader to build a strong presence for Te Puni Kokiri in the region to support the implementation of Government policiesProvide mentoring and coaching to Advisors within the regionManage the flow of information between Maori and the Policy puni for programme evaluationManage local level provider contracts including reporting and funding approvalsThe salary range of this role is $104k - $115k per annum however this will be determined by the successful candidate's skills and experience relevant to this role.Ko wai koe | About youTo be successful in this role you will have the following essential skills:Have strong relationships in Otago with Ngai Tahu Papatipu Runanga and Nga Maata waka communities and an ability to actively manage significant relationships, to value diverse perspectives and experiences.Currently live in Otago within daily commuting distance to the regional office in Otepoti-Dunedin from Monday to Friday.Have experience working with Whanau, Hapu, Iwi, Maori organisations and communities.Have a high level of understanding of the Machinery of Government, public service and the public sector processes that ensure impartiality of all Public Servants.Have an understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi and Te Tiriti o Waitangi and recognise the importance of the Treaty-Te Tiriti from both Maori and Crown perspectives.A level of competency in te reo Maori, or a willingness to learn.Ka whiwhi koe i te aha | What you will get in returnTe Puni Kokiri is a diverse and rewarding working environment full of passionate people focused on discovering solutions that will assist in serving our communities.
