At Iplex, we're dedicated to creating a safe, engaged, and high-performing workplace, setting the benchmark for excellence in plastic building materials across Aotearoa.THE ROLE:As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our Palmerston North factory.
You'll be part of a close-knit team of Maintenance Engineers and Electricians, rich in knowledge and experience, ensuring plant and equipment reliability while resolving breakdowns efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities include:Technical Support: Maintain and ensure the availability of plant equipment and tooling.
Support contractors and carry out scheduled and project work within set timeframes and budgets.Manufacturing Excellence: Enhance machine reliability and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency.Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align projects with company goals.Safety: Demonstrate commitment to safety by adhering to policies, reporting incidents, and fostering a safety-first culture.ABOUT YOU:As well as a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and be part of a bigger team, you will have:Trade qualification in Engineering or related discipline.Manufacturing experience, with exposure to principles like 5S or similar preferred.Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.Pragmatic, innovative, and adaptable mindset.Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.Demonstrated resilience, reliability, and organisational ability.Able to work on-call once every 5 weeks on roster.
