About the role Who are you?
You have experience in accounting processes, reconciliations, and financial analysis to assist with the preparation of financial statements and other regulatory reporting requirements.
You have demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards and frameworks that will enable you to challenge the status quo and provide interpretation and application insights when regulatory changes occur.
You are a great communicator who takes ownership of tasks, and confident to engage with multiple stakeholders.
You enjoy identifying opportunities to enhance existing processes through continuous improvement.
In this role, you can expect to: Assist with the preparation of annual and half yearly disclosure statements.
Preparation of monthly and quarterly RBNZ surveys and other external surveys.
Assist with the external audit – timelines, information requests, liaising with multiple stakeholders.
Preparation of tax compliance obligations and assisting external tax advisors with questions and information requests.
Identify and manage risks by ensuring financial records are maintained and controls are in place.
We are looking for candidates who have: CA qualification (or equivalent).
5+ years' experience in a Commercial or CA environment.
Experience in preparing financial statements.
