The Role Reporting directly to the engineering projects leader, this is a 24/7 processing facility with multiple high hazard assets. This Project Engineering position will support multiple projects (Asset upgrade, Maintenance & Greenfields) across 2 sites and encompass all facets of Mechanical, Construction & Process Engineering, from concepts, feasibilities, preliminary & detailed engineering design, capex management, contractor/consultant management and construction, right through to engineering support for the final commissioning of engineered solutions. This is very much a hands-on Project Engineering/ Project Management role, we are seeking a candidate with practical experience on site who has engaged with stakeholders at all levels, with strong accountability, proven delivery and a solid front end engineering skillset. This site is a continuous flow facility, with many operational boundaries. As a hands on 360 Project Engineering role - it would suit a candidate coming out of large, fixed plant Project Engineering (client side) or from an established mechanical consultancy.  You may have experience within Chemical, Infrastructure, Pulp/Paper or Oil & Gas as an added bonus.  Responsibilities Build strong & open relationships with clients, sub-contractors & suppliers, ensuring future relationshipsIdentify and manage project risks and issuesEnsure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standardsCommunicate project status to stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and project team membersProvide technical guidance and support to project team membersPlan, organize, and manage the site activities and resources, including staff, equipment, and materials.Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and submittals.Report at a senior level on design, concept or implementation changeManage Project Budgets strenuously Skills & Experience Mechanical / Engineering Trade with minimum 5 years' experience in a Project Engineering or Project Management Position Experience with project management software and tools, sold design and construction understanding requiredAbility to cope with frequent and varied tasks, always maintaining good working relationships across greenfield and brownfields project.Experience within heavy industry or mechanical infrastructure is ideal Strong front end engineering skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders, from governance and compliance to contractor/consultancy management.  The Company With a strong reputation within the heavy industry sector, our client operates with a lean mindset and delivers strong results within their sector.
