Role - Teaching Assistant- Key Stage 1Huyton, KnowsleyStart date - ASAP until July 2025 (Full time)CER Education is currently looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant to provide classroom support on a one-to-one basis for a Year 2 pupil at a Primary School in Huyton, Knowsley.This role is due to start as soon as possible and will continue to July 2025.Full-time hours working 8:30-3:30 Monday to Friday (lunch time cover included).The school is based in the heart of the Huyton community and has an on-site car park, although it is easily accessible by all major transport routes.
A warm, friendly staff and very supportive Key Stage 1 team are present to give advice and support your development within the role.Job ResponsibilitiesAssisting the classroom teacher with daily tasks and activities.Supporting a pupil within Year 2 on a one-to-one basis, with ASD needs.Having a positive and creative approach to behaviour and confidence building.Keeping children focused and engaged in their learning using different tools and methods.Providing assistance during classroom activities and lessons.Helping to prepare teaching materials and resources.Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils.Preferred SkillsExperience working in a Key Stage 1 school setting and ideally hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/Level 3 preferred).Understanding of OFSTED requirements.Understanding of Safeguarding.Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to complete and pay for a new DBS application.The Benefits of working for CER include but are not limited to:Consistent care and support from a dedicated consultant who listens to your needs.Consideration for a variety of job types/schools across the Knowsley area.Competitive pay rate, paid weekly plus additional benefits including access to our Affinity Extra discounts.Access to free CER exclusive training courses through our Affinity Academy including Behaviour Management, SEND training, Phonics and EYFS Framework.DBS fee refunded after 10 days of work.£250 refer a friend scheme (T&C's apply) payable when your friend works just 10 daysIf this is the role for you, and you can commit to FULL TIME work, please apply with your CV today.
