We have created a new specialist role, to ensure the construction, installation, and maintenance of our drainage infrastructure. This role involves on-site project management, ensuring the efficient implementation of stormwater and drainage solutions, compliance with regulations, and maintaining high construction standards.You will be an experienced Civil Engineer with a proven track record of successfully delivering stormwater/drainage projects.You'll be a confident communicator with an engineering tertiary qualification and on-the-job experience, able to develop strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, carry out all aspects of project delivery, and oversee technical delivery.Your self-management skills will be as important as your technical and project delivery skills. You will need to be able to prioritise workloads while maintaining strong and trusting working relationships.This is a full-time permanent position based in Marton, however, travel throughout the district will be required.Au ake mahi| What you will doLead and manage the construction and installation of drainage systems, including stormwaterImplement and enforce quality control procedures, conduct inspections, and address any issuesEnsure that all construction activities adhere to local and national regulationsProvide technical drainage engineering advice and reportsConduct on-site assessments to understand drainage requirements, site-specific challenges, and environmental considerationsNga tohu me nga wheako| What you will bringTertiary level Civil/Environmental Engineering or similar relevant qualificationProven experience as a Civil Engineer specialising in onsite construction of drainage systems in New ZealandIn-depth knowledge of drainage construction techniques, regulatory requirements, and environmental considerationsStrong project management skills, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budget controlThe closing date for this role is 5.00 pm on Sunday 20 October 2024, however applications will be reviewed and progressed as they come in, so get in earlyFor any enquiries about this role please contact Arno Benadie – Group Manager Assets, Infrastructure & Projects at ******
