Korero mo te turanga - About the role
Are you a qualified Nurse with extensive experience in an acute Mental Health Inpatient setting who is able to practise in New Zealand? This is a temporary role for 12 months covering maternity leave.
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator leads people, systems, processes and resources to deliver effective and efficient care and services to meet the needs of patients and their whanau. This includes but is not limited to management of staff during the shift, allocation of care and resources and demonstrating professional leadership. This position covers afternoon and weekend shifts.
This role requires the successful candidate to be:

A Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate within the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an acute mental health setting, with excellent Mental State Examination and Risk Assessment skills.
Possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
Perceived as highly effective, progressive and knowledgeable in a mental health setting, in accordance with legal, ethical, cultural safety and professional standards.
Knowledgeable about the Mental Health Act (1992).
Equipped with coaching and mentoring skills.
Able to support and implement change.
Committed to quality and excellence with a proven ability to contribute to process improvement.
Capable of upholding the Te Whatu Ora Te Ahu values.
Willing to undertake training that will enhance professional knowledge and performance.
