Mo te Turanga | About the role As a Senior Systems Specialist in the Infrastructure Chapter, you will have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work on an enterprise scale, all while being part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritisation - so your voice will be heard, and your opinions valued.
You will also be expected to provide on-call support when rostered on for the week.
The team is self-sufficient, and you will have to engage directly with stakeholders and communicate their requirements back to the team - we are now looking for a mix of technical skills and aptitude, including some of the following: Understanding of common Enterprise IT infrastructure Support K3s Maintain and support Azure DevOps pipelines Systems engineering on Linux and Windows operating systems Support Networking load balancer Vulnerability management Incident and change management Comfortable working in a highly regulatory environment Work as a technical lead with critical Technology vendors to ensure a robust and resilient environment Willingness to learn, proven initiative, knowledge sharing, documentation skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills are what we look for in every engineer to lead from their position.
With regards to background, you will need the following capabilities: Lead and mentor colleagues and provide technical thought leadership Experience in building relationships with internal and external parties Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing expectations Understanding of payment technical environments and compliance, including technology controls Intermediate level Windows and Linux systems administration skills Base understanding of containerisation and orchestration Experience working with Enterprise Networking Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) Experience with observability and monitoring Certificate management Manage the lifecycle and roadmaps for all services for which you are responsible.
