Finance ClerkFinancial Services35 Hours per WeekThe District School Board of Niagara has a position for Financial Clerk in DSBN's Financial Services Department.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Accounting, the successful applicant will be a key part of the DSBN's Financial Services Department, helping the Board meet its accounting compliance standards through accurate analysis, auditing, and other key accounting duties.
The individual will provide support and assistance with posting of budget transfers and journal entries, administrating DSBN's HST reporting, Trust Fund administration and responsible for the financial administration of the International Student Program.
The duties include the application of DSBN Policy and related legislation to determine fee paying status and collection of tuition fees.
Other duties will include, but are not limited to, accounts receivable administration, Charitable Trust annual return and provide support to the Financial Services management team in achieving reporting deadlines.Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum of three (3) year Community College diploma in Accounting; University degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferredMinimum three (3) years relevant accounting experience is requiredProficient in Excel, Word, Adobe, and Microsoft DynamicAbility to deal with competing priorities, multiple demands and constant deadlinesExemplary verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and strong analytical skillsStrong initiative, attention to detail and excellent customer service deliveryAbility to deal effectively with a variety of individuals and groups both within and outside the Board.To fully assess your qualifications, a resume is necessary.
