And right now, we're looking for a part-time Learn to Swim Instructor to join our Pool and Leisure Centre teams to help achieve that goalThis is a fantastic job where you don't need any formal qualifications or experience to apply – just a passion to work with our diverse community while also making a difference
We'll provide the training you need to succeed in the role.Based at Moana-Nui-A-Kiwa Pool and Leisure (Mangere), day-to-day you could expect to work on:Teaching people the basic principles of how to swim (we'll teach you how to do this
)Maintaining a fun, caring and safe environment for customers and visitorsBeing part of an amazing team serving your local communityThis is a permanent part-time position.
We would love to hear from those who can work 6 hours per week, working at least one weekday and one weekend shift.He korero mou: About youYou are a great swimmer and instructor, have a love of water, have exceptional customer service skills, and can communicate well with members of the public.You don't need any formal qualifications or experience.If you do have a recognised swim teacher qualification or previous experience as a Swimming Instructor, that would be fantastic
However, we will provide full, comprehensive training.
You must also be willing to complete First Aid training.Nga ahuatanga kei a matou: What we offerAs a Learn to Swim Instructor, you'll have free access to our facilities and hours that provide work-life balance, and above all else, you will be part of a fun and supportive team.
You will also have the satisfaction of knowing the work you do is important and impactful, especially the pride and joy you will get from watching someone gain the confidence that comes from learning how to swim.We strongly encourage up-skilling and training.
