Behaviour Specialist - Manawatu-Whanganui - New Zealand Health GroupNew Zealand Health Group Manawatu-Whanganui6 days agoDescriptionBehaviour Specialist - ManawatuNew Zealand Health Group is seeking a Behaviour Specialist to join our team in the Manawatu region.The Behaviour Support Specialist role is focused on delivering high-quality services based on a positive behaviour support framework. This involves working with clients, their families, and support networks to develop and implement behaviour plans that promote independence, safety, and well-being.Key Responsibilities:Deliver quality services based on a positive behaviour support frameworkWork with clients, their families, and support networks to develop and implement behaviour plansProvide culturally responsive support to a diverse client populationCollaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive service deliveryRequirements:Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or at least 3 years' experience in the disability fieldOccupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Social Workers, Behaviour Therapists/Specialists (BCBA's), Teachers, and other professionals with relevant experienceAnnual Practicing Certificate (APC) where requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProven ability to work in teams and in a 'transdisciplinary' mannerFamiliarity with evidence-based behavioural approaches and Positive Behaviour Support principlesAbout Us:New Zealand Health Group is a leading health sector employer in Aotearoa.
