BestStart Melling is a fairly new, purpose built early childhood centre tucked away in a bustling block of business. Being connected with the community is very important for us and we have great relationships with our neighbouring businesses. We go on regular excursions to local businesses, the retirement home, pet shop, supermarket, café, medical centre and dentist and have them visiting our centre to share with the children too This provides our children with fun, real-life experiences that help them feel connected to the wider community.

Whether you are a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator, if you have a passion for teaching young children, we want to hear from you. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.
BestStart Melling is looking for a Toddler Teacher to join their Tupu-a-nuku room working alongside our 2-3 year old tamariki. We work hard to support the children in developing self-help skills and learning to take responsibility to look after our environment. Our Kaiako provide a variety of fun activities where children can explore and learn.

B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
