We are looking for a superstar Activities Coordinator to work in our beautiful care facility here at Burlington.
Burlington Care Centre is looking for a part-time Activities Coordinator to join the Care Centre/Dementia Team.
You will be providing a comprehensive and exciting daily activities program to our residents, ensuring that each resident has a specific social and cultural plan that supports their needs.
This part-time role offers the hours: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday – 0900-1600 There will never be a dull day at Burlington Care Centre, as every day is full of variety for our residents and our staff
About you - Nga Korero Mou The successful candidate must be able to 'tick' the below requirements: Enthusiasm Have a fun, bubbly personality and great communication skills Initiative and drive to enhance the lives of our residents through a programme of Activities Able to work Saturday, Sunday and Monday 0900-1600 Have experience working with dementia residents Have a full driving license and be confident driving a minibus Have a good level of both written and spoken English Already have the right to work in NZ An ability to inspire and motivate Excellent listening skills Proven versatility and flexibility Ability to work within a diverse team or independently Good computer skills across a range of programs Ability to read and understand clinical notes, medical instructions and all policy and procedure manuals Ability to solve practical problems and immediately deal with a variety of resident and staff requests Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
