About the role:  In this diverse role, you will play a pivotal role in my client's journey to revolutionize electrical engineering solutions across Australasia.
As a Production Planner, you will be at the forefront of planning and scheduling production for their extensive range of electrical engineering solutions.
Your responsibilities include managing stock levels, encompassing raw materials and moulded components, to ensure optimal stock levels while maintaining a forward-thinking production forecast.
Day to day responsibilities: Coordinate production operations with material, labour, and equipment availability.
Manage production schedules to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
Maintain stock levels of raw materials and products to support production.
Develop production forecasting metrics.
Purchase essential consumable products for plant success.
Schedule MRP and sales order jobs within 24 hours.
Release jobs into production to meet delivery dates.
Ensure capacity loading is balanced with available capacity and accurate production order dates.
Maintain accurate capacity-planning data for real-time sales information and production target setting.
Manage job changes to achieve on time delivery targets.
Communicate Planning/Scheduling issues to the production team daily.
Provide a factory schedule summary for forward planning and capacity utilization.
Liaise with the logistics department about material availability.
Efficiently complete and manage ERP jobs to ensure timely shipping.
Days/ Hours:  Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, and purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and ERP software.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders.
