We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Junior Secondary (Year 10) Science Teacher on our Senior Campus starting 28 January 2025. Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of 1823 students. Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tumanako. About the job Key responsibilities of the role include: Effectively engaging with and teaching Science to students in Year 10 as well as being a Home Room Teacher for a Year 10 class. Contributing to academic process and achievement. Relating well and being culturally responsive to a diverse range of students and staff. The successful applicant will: Be a passionate, energetic educator. Have strengths in NZ Science curriculum knowledge. Be a registered, Senior School trained teacher. Enjoy effectively partnering with parents. Enjoy working collaboratively. Have a desire to grow their professional capacity. An important condition of employment is that applicants must have a willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the Special Christian Character of KingsWay School. You will enjoy contributing and promoting a biblically informed, Christ-centred worldview, including how this translates to supporting and growing our students' faith, and will protect and enhance our Christian character.
