Waikato Waldorf School is a state-integrated Waldorf school situated in Huntington in the northern part of Hamilton. We are a special character school guided by the teaching philosophy of Rudolf Steiner. We became a full composite school up to Year 13 a few years ago and are steadily growing our high school.
Our approach is characterised by a focus on the wellbeing of the whole child - emotionally, physically, and cognitively. The curriculum follows Steiner's model of child development and incorporates a wealth of creative, artistic, and practical elements as well as traditional subjects such as literacy, numeracy, and science.
We have an exciting opportunity for a creative, enthusiastic, and energetic teacher to work in our school. The successful candidate must be able to journey with their class for several years.
The successful candidate should preferably have experience working with children in primary across different levels, ideally in a Waldorf school.
A good understanding of Waldorf pedagogy is advantageous, but at a minimum, candidates must be committed to developing their knowledge of Steiner/Waldorf Education through ongoing professional development.
