About the role: We are hiring a Class 2 Driver on a permanent basis for our New Plymouth depot. You will be responsible for filling LPG gas bottles and delivering them to residential and commercial customers. You will be working Monday to Friday, some Saturdays (as and when required) with paid rostered on call weekends. We work early hours which usually means 6:00am-6:30am start times and mid-afternoon finishes. Start your morning off early by checking your manifest and adjusting the preloaded truck Throughout the day you'll be delivering pre-filled LPG cylinders and taking away the empties Customer service is part of the job - you might need to answer questions or provide solutions while out delivering Stocktaking, cylinder maintenance and filling, and truck washing are all part of the job About you: At least 6 months' driving experience with a clean Class 2 Driver's License Experience delivering goods on any class of license Current Dangerous Goods endorsement or be willing to undergo training for one Physical fitness with the ability to move heavy items when making LPG bottle deliveries Flexibility and adaptability with a customer service focus Available for paid rostered on call weekends The salary & benefits: You'll receive a competitive salary & on call allowance & overtime & 4% Kiwisaver - plus a great team and excellent benefits $500 sign on bonus, subject to a few T&Cs, now available Paid training - we'll help you get your Dangerous Goods endorsement $100 a year towards your health & wellbeing - hello free gym visits The opportunity to give back - you'll receive 1 day of paid volunteer leave a year Peace of mind for you and your family - we offer income protection and life and Southern Cross health insurance Discounted power and gas Health and safety is important at Genesis and to ensure our high standards are maintained, successful applicants must undergo pre-employment checks including a medical and drug test, Ministry of Justice and Licence checks and references.
