Our supervisors play a vital role in being the face of New World Centre City, delivering on outstanding customer experiences.About the roleThis full-time role is ideal for experienced customer service professionals looking to apply their expertise in a leadership position, as well as motivated individuals eager to develop themselves.As a Checkout Supervisor, you'll help shape the customer experience, leading by example, motivating and inspiring our frontline team across Checkout, Customer Services, Lotto and Café.
As a key member of our team, you'll also serve as a Duty Manager, ensuring regulatory compliance in the sale of restricted goods.Key responsibilitiesLead, motivate and coach the Customer Services team to deliver great customer service.Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling and resource allocation.Ensure regulatory compliance, particularly in the sale of restricted goods.HoursFull-time hours, specific hours to be discussed at the interview stage.
New World Centre City operates from 07:30am – 10:00pm, 7 days a week, shift patterns to include a weekend day and evening shifts.About you2+ years' experience in a Customer Services role, ideally with Supervision or Management experience.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating positive customer experiences.Liquor Controllers Qualification (LCQ) and Duty Managers Licence (DM), or willingness to acquire.Commitment to personal and professional growth.About usNew World Centre City is one of the South Islands largest New Worlds, proudly serving the Dunedin community since 1986.
