Role Overview:
Our Field Officers connect campaign and organising strategies within their region to support members' industrial and professional goals.
Tasks include: Planning for regular contact and visibility for your assigned worksites/member groupsDeveloping leaders from within membershipUsing knowledge of education sector or union organising to support membersThis role involves regular travel around Tamaki Makaurau and may involve travel around Te Tai Tokerau.
NZEI Te Riu Roa is committed to giving effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Candidates should either have or be committed to developing an understanding of Te Tiriti. We particularly welcome applications from people with experience in te reo and tikanga Maori. We have an allowance for fluent speakers of Te Reo Maori and offer work-time to study Te Reo Maori.
