The role:As a Driver and Warehouse Assistant, you'll be committed to delivering an outstanding level of service. You will be professional, driven, and enthusiastic. The role reports into the branch management team and will provide the highest level of service to internal and external customers, delivering products against tight deadlines. You will assist in the warehouse and may be customer-facing within the branch, serving on the trade counter and dealing with customers over the telephone, ensuring that we provide the best service and maximize sales at every opportunity. You'll naturally promote and embrace our inclusive team environment.Please note, this role requires you to have the appropriate driving licence with previous experience as a driver.You will be contracted to 16 hours a week, but you will be flexible to work a pattern of up to 37.5 hours a week to cover peak trading hours, holidays, and meet business needs. Where possible, hours and shifts will be agreed with you with plenty of notice.Key Responsibilities:Health and safety of yourself and your vehicleMaintenance and condition of your vehicleReport any issues or incidents to your line managerComply with transport compliance law and regulationsDealing with stock and deliveriesSupporting the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager with achieving and exceeding sales targets at optimum marginsEnsuring we maintain high standards, creating and maintaining a loyal customer base and providing first-class serviceAssisting with general duties within the branch such as serving customers on the trade counter and telesalesEnsuring the housekeeping standards are maintained both on the trade counter and in warehousingYou:Along with a clean driving licence, you will ideally have previous warehouse and driving experience. Knowledge of the products associated with our industry would be an advantage. You'll be flexible with working hours and able to work up to 37.5 hours a week.
