The mission of the Wireless Power Technology team is to build the world's best Wireless Charging user experience. We invent and develop cutting-edge Wireless Charging designs that are central to Apple's products - the iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods, and more. New challenges arise every day that require the sharp problem-solving skills of individuals. The team features a collaborative and hands-on environment that fosters engineering excellence, creativity, and innovation.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic engineering students who are keen on doing an internship with us. The intern will provide support to design, engineering, prototyping, and validation activities. Description: Some responsibilities in the Power System Design and Integration Internship may include:
Cadence and MATLAB modelling support.New circuit or power technology proof-of-concept investigations.Python scripting for data collection and driving test robots, prototyping of new hardware, system bring-up, characterisation, testing and validation factory data collection and support activities.Design of Experiments (DOE) creation, execution, and data analysis.Production system-level problem solving - Failure analysis, root cause & corrective action proposal.Minimum Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree/Master Degree/PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a similar degree.Able to commit for at least 3 months full-time for the internship.Key Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work in a team-based environment.Self-motivating.Solid EE fundamentals in both analog and digital design and comfortable with tackling new challenges with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to use statistical tools (JMP, Matlab) and techniques.Proficiency in programming; experience with Python is preferred.Knowledge and experience in power electronics and direct wireless charging is preferred.Experience with instrumentation equipment (Impedance analyser, virtual network analyser, and oscilloscope).Hands-on experience (soldering, circuit measurement, prototyping).
