The Interventional Radiology Technologist must perform radiographic work on various types of equipment efficiently and competently, ensuring patient care and safety in the lab environment.This role operates in a high-stress, busy patient care area with potential exposure to x-ray and bloodborne pathogens.
Long periods of standing with lead aprons and surgical PPE are required.The Angiography Technician will be responsible for rotating call for emergency procedures with a 30-minute response time if employed in the Interventional Radiology Lab.Job Requirements:Graduation from an accredited Radiology ProgramCurrent certification with ARRT in Diagnostic RadiologyPossesses a current Radiologic Technologist license from the Ohio Department of HealthBLS certificationExcellent knowledge of anatomy and physiologyStrong communication skillsAbility to work well with others and facilitate teamworkAbility to exercise independent judgment and initiate independent actionsAbility to work well in high-stress situationsAbility to anticipate the needs of the patient and physician and troubleshoot equipment efficientlyAbility to tolerate long workdays and call hoursPreferred Qualifications1 year recent hospital angiographic interventional experience1 year recent hospital Angiography Technician/Interventional Radiology, or Surgical Radiology Technologist experience
