Advisor/Senior Advisor at Ministry of Health, Wellington/AucklandMedsafe regulatory roles for 2x registered pharmacists (fixed term)Wellington or AucklandAdvisor midpoint of $91,501, actual salary dependent on your experienceSenior Advisor midpoint of $105,270, actual salary dependent on your experienceKo ake mahi - What you'll do Medsafe is the New Zealand Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority and is responsible for the regulation of therapeutic products in New Zealand. The Medicines Control branch of Medsafe is responsible for regulating the supply chain of medicines and controlled drugs.
In this role you will conduct licensing, auditing and drug abuse containment activities, contributing to public safety through regulating and maintaining the integrity of the supply chain of medicines and controlled drugs.
Two fixed term roles to cover parental leave – one is until the beginning of November 2025, and the other is until the beginning of January 2026.
Minimum Requirements: Registration as a pharmacist in New Zealand with a current Annual Practising CertificateAt least five years post-registration experience in pharmacy practice in New ZealandA high level of professional integrity, self-motivation, flexibility and responsivenessStrong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex issues clearly and conciselyKnowledge of the New Zealand medicines supply chain and relevant legislationNew Zealand drivers' licence and the ability to travel throughout New Zealand on a regular basisKo matou me to matou whare - What we bring Unlock your career potential at Manatu Hauora, where you'll discover a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
