Anaesthetic Technician, Nelson Hospital, Fixed Part-time Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principlesof Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system thatserves all New Zealanders.About the RoleAs an AnaestheticTechnician, you will assist anaesthetists during surgeries by preparingand handling anaesthetic equipment.
You will providea high standard of service and quality patient care.Surgical specialties covered include: General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology,ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental, Acute/Trauma, Paediatrics, Plastics and Vascular.Thisis a fixed term role covering parental leave for up to 12 months.
The workinghours are 40 per fortnight (0.5 FTE).
Shifts are flexible - rostered androtating from Monday to Sunday, including evenings, weekends and on-call .
About the Team/Service/ LocationThe Theatre Suite consists of 6 OperatingTheatres with a Recovery Room, a Sterile Services department and Endoscopysuite.

For more information on living and working in Nelson click hereAbout youAs an Anaesthetic Technician, you will: * be a Registered Anaesthetic Technician, with a current APC issued by The Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (MSCNZ), or be eligible for the same, * have recent clinical experience with strong observational and crisis management skills, * be a team player who hasthe ability to cope with a high and varied workload, including emergency situations * have excellent organisational and time management skills * great communication and interpersonal skillsThe successful candidate must be eligible to work in NewZealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
