Developers/Programmers (Information & Communication Technology)You will develop and maintain embedded firmware for microcontrollers, focusing on low-power design and wireless connectivity.You will collaborate with software engineers to integrate firmware with software applications and ensure seamless performance.You will design, implement and test firmware for a variety of IOT applications, and optimize firmware for power efficiency, reliability and performance.The role in a nutshell:You will develop and maintain embedded firmware for microcontrollers, focusing on low-power design and wireless connectivity.You will collaborate with software engineers to integrate firmware with software applications and ensure seamless performance.You will design, implement and test firmware for a variety of IOT applications, and optimize firmware for power efficiency, reliability and performance.To be successful, you will need:Strong proficiency in embedded C programming, with additional experience in C++, Rust, Python and Linux being advantageous.
Experience with Zephyr operating system will be highly regarded.Proven experience in microcontroller programming, debugging and managing the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from concept through to production.Familiarity with low-power design techniques, including sleep modes, power gating and dynamic voltage scaling, and experience with wireless communication protocols, such as Bluetooth and MQTT.Experience working on large-scale projects with complex ecosystems and connectivity levels.Why should you apply?A competitive salary, negotiable based on experience, starting around $110,000 + benefits.Flexible work conditions and a brand new office where furry friends are welcome.Great and inclusive culture with growth opportunities as the business expands.My client is an accredited employer and will consider candidates from overseas, however preference will be given to candidates who are already in NZ with valid working rights.My client will consider permanent employees or contractors wanting to work for a minimum of 6 months.About our client:Experiencing steady growth with their innovative product and adding some new tech to their stack, my client has international expansion plans, a strong pipeline of work, and some very exciting new projects on the go.
