TRG is well-established business with a legacy of over 30 years, specialising in retail and commercial projects. Operating across seven office locations in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. We are looking for an experienced Town Planner to join our Team in Melbourne or Sydney. This is permanent full-time role for a confident professional with strong local town planning experience, and demonstrated ability to liaise within multiple internal and external clients.
As a Town Planner you will:

Prepare and manage planning applications for subdivisions, dwelling applications, and commercial projects, including supervision of associated plan production, liaison with associated disciplines within the office and also sub-consultants.
Review plans and technical reports prepared in support of applications and proposals.
Liaise with Council's, State Government Agencies, and other statutory authorities.
Work collaboratively with technical staff to ensure applications are prepared in a timely manner.
Independently lead and manage complex planning projects, ensuring successful delivery of projects.
Provide high-quality accurate advice to clients on planning and development matters.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and government agencies.
Ideally, as a Town Planner you:

Have a recognised degree in town planning.
Have at least 5 years' experience in the town planning profession.
Have thorough knowledge of local building codes and standards.
Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective interaction with internal and external clients.
Have strong analytical skills.
Have strong presentation and report writing skills.
Knowledge in REVIT and AutoCAD.
Have current full Drivers Licence.
Enjoy the knowledge sharing process, mentoring, training team members and willingly take more junior staff under your wing.
Have a positive attitude and good teamwork skills.
Are able to work both autonomously and as a member of a small/medium/big team and meet deadlines, keeping a strong attention to detail.
Are able to organize and prioritize work with excellent time management.
Are a proactive, self-motivated individual who is adaptable to a fast-paced workplace.
