General Summary: This position supports plant manufacturing by utilizing quality control standards, procedures, and statistical techniques in order to develop and maintain quality standards.
Position applies fundamental knowledge of basic principles, theories and concepts of industry standards and practices to support the planning, coordination and direction of quality systems for continuous improvement within the plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Assists in the development and implementation of a formalized quality system.
Actively participates on plant teams to promote continuous improvement of processes, procedures and work instructions.
Studies, analyzes and recommends methods of improvement.
Supports manufacturing operations and plant support groups by providing quality data analysis.
Coordinates problem solving activities within manufacturing regarding customer complaints.
Drives accountability for corrective actions until completion.
This involves education and coordination of problem resolution activities.
Assists engineers to define and analyze process conditions, conduct capability studies and improve line capabilities.
Monitors and revises processes to help generate cost savings and improve the quality and efficiency of product/process.
Other projects/duties as assigned.
