This Vision is brought to life by our Values – Care, Respect, Integrity, Performance and Teamwork – which put our people, host communities, the environment and our stakeholders at the forefront of our decision-making.Job DescriptionA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and energetic Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Underground Maintenance Team at the Waihi Operation.Working autonomously as well as part of a dynamic team, you will gain and expand your experience and knowledge of underground mining whilst working an attractive even time roster.
Rotating 7 days on, 7 days off (Dayshift/Nightshift).Key tasks and responsibilities:Perform a range of preventative and breakdown maintenance tasks on mining equipment including Loaders, Development/Production Drills, Haul Trucks and Ancillary Plant and Equipment.Ensure all equipment is mechanically and electronically maintained in accordance with company and site policies and procedures.Complete scheduled tasks and service inspections as planned to a high standard of quality which maintains the integrity of the equipment and does not compromise safety.Maintain legible and accurate maintenance records and documentation.Source technical information from the relevant OEM manuals, technical bulletins, and service documentation.Actively promote, seek out and participate in drives that will lead to improvements in safety, productivity, and cost effectiveness.QualificationsMechanical Trade Qualification.Experience working on Heavy Mobile Plant.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in hydraulic systems and electrical circuits.A full and current Driver Licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles.Additional informationLifestyle Rotating 7 days on, 7 days off (Dayshift/Nightshift).Southern Cross Health Insurance + Gym Membership.Experience the unbeatable lifestyle of a residential mining.OGC VALUES: CARE | RESPECT | INTEGRITY | PERFORMANCE | TEAMWORKOceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.If you share the same values and have what we are looking for, please apply online now via our careers website:https://careers.oceanagold.com/jobs**Applications close 7 February 2025.
