We are New Zealand's fourth largest electricity network management company, responsible for managing five electricity networks across the diverse and spectacular lower South Island.
We have an incredible opportunity to join our technical team as an Apprentice Supply Electrician based in Invercargill. As an apprentice, you will complete an industry training programme to achieve your National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Level 4) and, once qualified as a Supply Electrician, be willing to continue to build and strengthen your skills throughout your career.
Whether you already have life experience and are attracted to a new career, or a recent school leaver who is looking to establish themselves in a growing industry, we would love to hear from you. Prior experience in the industry is not essential as full training will be provided so you're able to work safely and efficiently.
We are looking for people who:
have an understanding or interest in learning about the electricity industryare eager to learn new practical skillshave sound numeracy and literacy skillshold a Class 1 New Zealand Driver's licence (minimum restricted)hold a NCEA Level 2 or equivalent level of achievementare strong team players and contributors, committed to learning and enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather and conditionsare upfront and honestreally want to make a difference within a company that encourages growth and development and a can-do attitude of "Do it once, do it right"Who is PowerNet?
