Projects range from small to large-scale power generation projects, from concept through to detailed design, across various industries including future fuels and renewable energy, power generation, biogas and wastewater.What will a day in this role look like?Providing engineering design and technical advisory services to a diverse range of clients; ensuring all technical design work is completed in accordance with local standards and sound engineering principlesReviewing technical and design reports, preparing and presenting bids and proposals including cost estimates and supporting materialsWorking closely with project teams to ensure timely provision of coordinated and quality engineering deliverablesActively fostering and strengthening relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers; developing new relationships in the pursuit of winning work for the energy businessCoaching, mentoring and providing guidance to junior engineers empowering them to grow and develop professionallyWhat are we looking for from you?Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (or equivalent)20 years+ technical experience in power generation, industrial process, wastewater/biogas and/or future fuels projects, preferably within a consulting environmentDemonstrated technical leadership with a proven track record in successful project delivery, including design management for detailed design projectsExceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with clients, colleagues and stakeholdersAn established network within the energy community in NZ, with the ability to build new relationships through your connections, and from the high-quality technical engineering you are known for.About AECOMAECOM is the world's trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle – from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
