We focus on delivering exceptional data-driven solutions for a wide array of clients, helping them harness the power of their data.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Data Governance Consultant to design, implement and manage data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance for enterprise clients.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data governance and cataloguing, specifically with Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC).
You should also combine technical expertise with strong business analysis and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver measurable value in large corporate environments.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with senior stakeholders to assess organizational needs and design customized data governance frameworks.Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for data quality, security, privacy, and lifecycle management.Lead the implementation of data governance tools and technologies, including metadata management, data catalogues, and lineage tracking.Define roles and responsibilities for data stewardship and ownership across business units and data domains.Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in data governance and enterprise data management.Be an advisor to C-suite executives, data stewards, and business leaders on data governance best practices.Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings to drive alignment and adoption of governance initiatives.Deliver technical engagements for customers, including participating in pre-sales remote or on-site visits.Develop and deliver training material to enable business users and IT teams to adopt data governance processes effectively.Provide overall thought leadership to clients regarding data governance recommendations.Gather, document, and analyse both business and technical requirements to address data-related challenges.Create data flow diagrams, process models, and system specifications to support governance implementations as needed.What you will bring:To be successful for this role, you will have:Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.The ability to develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures that ensure the integrity and quality of data across the organisation.Aligning data initiatives with business objectives to drive value from data-centric business strategies.Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills to manage timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.A deep understanding of data architecture, databases, and storage solutions.Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, recognize patterns, and draw insightful conclusions.The ability to use data to identify issues, solve problems, and make informed decisions.The ability to conduct maturity assessments to evaluate existing data management practices and recommend improvements.Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations and compliance requirements.Ability to ensure that data governance practices adhere to legal and industry-specific standards.Experience delivering professional services across multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication skills to articulate data governance concepts and practices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Why Join Us Here at Datacom?Datacom is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services.
