In a newly created role, you will be leading a team of planners to deliver Resource Consent Applications, including Strategic and Construction consents.
Lead the drive towards excellence across Watercare's consenting functions.Responsibilities include:Managing the programme of works for Strategic Consents.Ensuring effective project management practices.Improving consent delivery processes with consultant partners and regulators.Driving continuous improvement, best practice and innovation and grow technical excellence across Resource Consent delivery.Overseeing Watercare's Kaitiaki Engagement process to strengthen relationships and enhance collaboration with Kaitiaki groups.To be successful in this role, you will have:A strong work ethic.Enjoy working in a team environment.Excellent communication skills.Your skills and background must include:A relevant tertiary qualification.Extensive experience in the discipline of resource management/consent planning (10 + years).A proven track record of managing teams or project managing complex resource consent projects and obtaining resource consents and other statutory approvals.Full membership of the New Zealand Planning Institute.Experience in the delivery of strategic and construction consent applications, Notices of Requirement.Experience in water or utilities is desirable but not essential.We offer a competitive salary and staff benefits package including:Training and development opportunities.Life and income protection insurance plans.Generous parental leave policy.Employee discounts at a range of large retailers.Modern offices in the heart of Newmarket with easy access to public transport.Discounted Wilson parking.On-site free gym.Me pehea te tono mai | How to ApplyCome and join our team
