About the role | Ko te mahi nei As a Project Manager, you will lead and oversee a diverse range of sports turf projects, directly supporting the Christchurch City Council Sports Field Network Plan.
Your work will ensure our sports facilities are developed, maintained, and enhanced to meet the needs of the community, clubs, and athletes in line with the strategic objectives of the plan.
You will contribute to the creation and improvement of high-quality sports turf surfaces, ensuring they are sustainable, fit for purpose, and ready for the next generation of athletes to perform on.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the planning, delivery, and maintenance of sports turf projects, ensuring alignment with the Sports Field Network Plan and its long-term goals.Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget, while adhering to the strategic direction of the plan.Oversee turf maintenance and improvements to ensure optimal performance for sports use, incorporating the latest turf management practices.Develop and implement strategies for ongoing improvements to sports fields in Christchurch, in line with the plan's recommendations.Manage budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently to ensure successful project completion.Provide expert advice on turf management and best practices to internal teams and external partners.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards across all projects.What's in it for you?

Hours of work - Fulltime Permanent Position
Location- This position is primarily based at 53 Hereford Street - Christchurch Salary-The salary band for this position goes from $126,230 p.a.
to $140,255 per annum based on a 40 hour week.
Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
