Senior Azure Devops Engineer

Working on behalf of a major bluechip, this exciting role with one of New Zealand's premier telecommunications provider is seeking an Azure DevOps engineer to architect and implement a cloud-native platform on Microsoft Azure, leveraging Azure DevOps & GitHub for CI/CD Infrastructure Management.
The successful candidate will have deep expertise in fleet resource creation and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) cluster management.Fleet Resource Creation and AKS ClusterEstablishing an Azure Kubernetes Fleet Manager resource.Joining existing and/or new AKS clusters as member clusters of the fleet.Centralized Multi-Cluster Management:Implementing centralized configuration management for AKS clusters within the fleet.Orchestrating Kubernetes version upgrades and node image upgrades across multiple clusters.Kubernetes Resource Propagation:Defining and implementing K8 resource object propagation policies across member clusters.Utilizing policies and overrides to manage configuration dissemination.Requirements:Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Defining and managing Azure infrastructure through code for consistent and repeatable deployments.Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions: Establishing automated pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications to Azure, enabling rapid and reliable software releases.Containerization and Orchestration with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS): Implementing containerization and orchestrating containers with AKS for efficient resource utilization and application scalability.Automation & Integration with AIS: Automating routine tasks and processes to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.Integration of ADO Agents: Utilizing ADO pipelines or GitHub Actions for seamless CI/CD.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting
