This role combines both hands-on aircraft assembly and team leadership, where you will guide the team through the entire production process, ensuring all drones meet our rigorous quality and performance standards.
As a key figure in the production process, you'll be responsible for fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.Key Responsibilities:Lead, manage and grow the assembly team to ensure that drone components are built, tested, and assembled according to specifications, meeting both performance and safety standards.Act as a hands-on leader, assembling and troubleshooting drone components alongside the team, ensuring a high level of craftsmanship and precision.Implement and uphold quality control processes, ensuring all assemblies meet operational and safety requirements.Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical issues, improve processes, and ensure continuous product improvement.Oversee production schedules, track team performance, and manage priorities to meet project timelines while maintaining a focus on quality.Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge, fostering a strong sense of teamwork and accountability.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring that tools and equipment are in optimal working condition.Monitor inventory levels, ensuring materials and parts are available for production while maintaining proper inventory management protocols.Report any operational issues or concerns to senior management, suggesting improvements to increase efficiency, safety, and quality.Qualifications:Strong practical experience in aircraft or drone assembly, mechanical/electrical systems, or a similar field.Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing and motivating a team in a production or manufacturing environment.Ability to build and assemble complex systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and work with detailed technical drawings and specifications.Strong knowledge of quality control systems and best practices in production environments.Experience with tools and equipment used in drone or aircraft assembly, including soldering, wiring, and testing equipment.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with an eye for detail.Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering specifications.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing needs and priorities.Experience with drone technology or uncrewed aerial systems (UAS).Background in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering.Familiarity with PCB assembly and electronics.Familiarity with assembly of complex mechanical systems.Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a production or manufacturing setting.Aircraft and product specific assembly training will be provided by the engineering team.Join us at Aeronavics, where you will play a key role in building the future of drone technology while leading a dedicated, innovative team.
