NZCL is looking for energetic and motivated individuals to support our clients in residential service in Auckland.We are looking for casual Support Workers to help the Rangatahi and Tamariki in our Intensive support services in Orewa.ResponsibilitiesOur Support Workers assist Rangatahi and Tamariki who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community. Responsibilities include:Aiding with personal careCommunity outingsIntegration and other aspects of daily livingEnabling people we support to be as independent as possibleWhat do you get?Earn competitive pay rates between $23.38 and $29.10 per hourVariety of shiftsEarn while you learn with free training towards NZQA Health and WellbeingEmployee Assistance program service anytime you need health and wellbeing support'Refer a friend' bonusBespoke training tailored to the needs of the rangatahi/young personClinical Supervision to support best practicesWho are we looking for?A desire to support our Rangatahi and Tamariki to learn new skills and achieve outcomesPrior experience supporting others with aspects of daily living, preferably those living with intellectual or physical disabilitiesIdeally experience working with children or youthFull driver's licence and confidence to safely transport passengers in our disability vans (training provided)Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the boxFlexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekendsEmpathy, respect, and cultural awareness are important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.If you are passionate about supporting people, then maybe there is a role for you here.
