Elements of the role may require travel. This role is part of the Rapid Rehousing service, a community housing-based initiative focused on collaborating with other services to support whanau experiencing homelessness in overcoming barriers to permanent housing.
It is ideal for a registered health professional eager to apply their skills to make a meaningful impact in the housing sector.
In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders to:
Review and coordinate referrals, ensuring timely and appropriate support.Identify and address barriers preventing access to permanent housing.Assess and support ongoing needs to help whanau sustain and improve their living situations in alignment with their goals and aspirations.Collaborate and navigate the social housing sector alongside other community providers.Build and maintain relationships with key agencies, including the Ministry of Social Development and Kainga Ora.Support whanau in sustaining their tenancies, fostering long-term housing stability within the community.We are seeking registered health professionals with diverse experience in the mental health and social sectors, particularly in housing.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
Current practicing certificateFull NZ driver's licence.Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish credibility quickly while demonstrating sound problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.Ability to work efficiently under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Experience in conducting thorough assessments and crisis intervention.Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in accurate record-keeping.Self-management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team.Leadership capabilities and a willingness to take initiative within the team.Knowledge of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and working effectively with Maori.Applications close | RaKatinga: 05 April 2025.
