Toll Group is seeking a Senior Logistics Officer to join our NZ Theatre Supply Chain team
This is an exciting permanent opportunity that will allow you to support critical contracts both domestically and internationally.
This may also extend to the supporting of projects for extended periods which include ships and land-based services.Location: Wellington, Auckland, or Christchurch (flexible based on the right candidate)Duties and Responsibilities / a day in the life of the Senior Logistics Officer:Managing contracted services by liaising with the customer, various suppliers and agents as directed by the Contract Manager.Supervision of sub-contractors and agents whilst supporting the customer.Update tracking sheets with relevant information.
Support the Contract Manager to maintain supply chain systems, security systems and operating systems.Maintain agents' details per port / region, and update supplier databases in consultation with Contract Manager.Utilise strong business judgement and business sense to interpret operational issues and risks and identify solutions to increase operational efficiency and service delivery percentage.Identify innovative solutions to underlying problems in methods or systems to improve operational excellence in critical areas.Assisting contract manager with reporting and management of the team when required.What You'll Need To Succeed2+ years of experience in ship husbandry or operational field services and other land-based support to ships and camps essential.Excellent knowledge of MS Suite with strong MS Excel skills and skills in Word and PowerPoint.
Working experience of SAP.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers.
