This is a diverse role that covers system improvement, biodiversity prioritisation, programme management, relationship management, and science and technical leadership.The Terrestrial Biodiversity team's work includes: * Leading implementation of the Department's biodiversity investment tool; * Identifying and prioritising systems performance improvements for the Department's biodiversity work; * Leading strategic advice to teams across the Department and externals; * Leading and supporting research to improve the conservation management of threatened terrestrial biodiversity; * Developing, testing and reporting on interventions to better manage pests and diseases; * Providing advice, training/mentoring and support to others in the department and externally.

You'll be a strategic thinker, able to connect the dots across the system, and have a track record of taking complex strategic plans and operationalising them to deliver tangible results.
