Job Category: Manufacturing, Transport & LogisticsJob DescriptionAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Plastics Technician to join our team who will be accountable for providing leadership to the nightshift team and managing all aspects of the production process.You will be working in an exciting, busy and varied role and be part of our success by;Providing leadership to a team of 2 other Extrusion Operators to ensure overall team performance delivers business needs.Setting up, adjusting and calibrating extrusion lines to ensure the pipe produced meets all quality specifications and industry standards.Monitoring and tuning extrusion lines ensuring pipe weight targets and quality specifications are maintained throughout the production run.Troubleshooting issues alongside the Production Manager and ensuring serious technical issues are reported to management and the engineering team.General housekeeping duties, including monitoring plant and equipment, completing maintenance checks, printer servicing, basic repairs and adjustments.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:Leadership and problem-solving skillsMinimum 3-years' experience in the manufacturing environment of plastic extrusionExperience setting up, adjusting and maintaining plastic extrusion machinery.Ability to work collaboratively in a teamPassionate about Health & Safety and QualityHigh Ambition, Integrity and learning abilityHours of Work: 48 hours per week.
