Registered Social Worker – Age Concern Wairoa Salary - $60k+ based on a 4 day week  About Us: Are you passionate about supporting our kaumatua and making a real difference in their lives?
Age Concern Wairoa is looking for a Registered Social Worker to join our small, supportive team dedicated to improving the lives of pakeke in our community.
At Age Concern, we are deeply committed to enhancing the wellbeing of older adults through advocacy, education, and support services.
We work tirelessly to ensure that our kaumatua are treated with respect, dignity, and the care they deserve, especially those who are most vulnerable.
As a Registered Social Worker, you'll play a key role in helping to prevent and respond to elder abuse, providing compassionate guidance and hands-on support to those who need it most.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert support to victims of elder abuse, ensuring their safety, empowerment, and well-being.Collaborate with our dedicated team to deliver programs and services that uplift the elderly in Wairoa.Engage with families, caregivers, and the community to raise awareness of elder abuse and prevent its occurrence.Flexible 4-day workweek with the option for a role share, giving you control over your work-life balance.Support for local applicants from Wairoa, Gisborne, and Hawkes Bay, with only two overnight stays per week required in Wairoa.
