Wellington Hospital – Wellington, North IslandNau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora – Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley DistrictLocation: Wellington Regional HospitalContract: Full time, permanentWellington Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is looking for a Neonatologist to join the team in a permanent position.We are one of the largest NICUs in NZ, with a fantastic, multidisciplinary team who value collaboration in a friendly and supportive environment.Wellington NICU is a 40 cot unit, with close to 1000 admissions per year, providing intensive care for medical and surgical infants from central New Zealand. We run a busy neonatal retrieval service, with the majority of transports via air as well as medical and long-term neurodevelopmental follow-up clinics.We have a strong emphasis on practicing and contributing to international best practice. As a Neonatal Consultant at Wellington hospital, you would help to be part of this leadership group, bringing the team along with you.At the heart of all we do, is the pepi and their whanau. Bringing skills to complement our family-centred philosophy will help you fit right inMinimum Requirements:Vocationally registered in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)FRACP or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZCCPU or similar qualification and experience in neonatal clinician performed ultrasounds (cardiac and cranial)Experience in follow-up of infants with complex medical issues and high risk of neurodevelopmental impairment (Training and experience in General Movement Assessments and Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development would be highly valued)Ability to work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary teamAble to provide consistently high standards of medical careRelevant experience and trainingHere at Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District we embrace diversity and welcome applications from all people, including all gender identities, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, disabilities, and religions.
