This permanent, full-time position commences 6 January 2025.
As a Qualified Teacher, you'll be at the heart of our mission to shape brighter futures for children across Aotearoa. This role requires:
NZQA approved qualification in early childhood teaching
Full registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
Current practicing certificate
Your role will be crucial in:
Providing high-quality, professional care and education in various early childhood settings
Supporting children's curiosity and development through responsive, play-based learning
Collaborating with diverse teams to deliver engaging, culturally responsive programs
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a curriculum aligned with Te Whariki, adapting quickly to different centre environments
Contribute to planning and evaluation of learning programs that respond to children's strengths and interests
Create inclusive, equitable learning opportunities that celebrate diversity
Document children's learning through profile books and e-portfolios as needed
Maintain professional standards and stay current with ECE best practices
Qualifications and Experience
Early childhood teaching qualification recognised by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa, New Zealand (required)
Current Teaching Council of Aotearoa, New Zealand Practising Certificate (required)
Experience working as a teacher in an early childhood education team setting
Ability to use initiative and adapt to new environments quickly
Commitment to quality practice and the principles of Te Whariki
Excellent communication, planning and organisation skills
Enthusiasm for making a difference in children's early years
Strong desire to build connections with whanau and families
