This role is responsible for managing cost accounting functions, analysing cost trends, and supporting key financial decision-making processes to optimise profitability.
This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about cost control, financial analysis, and working within a fast-paced FMCG environment.Key Responsibilities:Support manufacturing leaders to interpret the performance of lines, including measures of KPI'SPartner with Production & Stores to ensure accurate material consumptionPartner with the finance manager to identify and promote opportunities for site performanceAssist the finance manager with the preparation of month end results & analysisPrepare and analyse cost reports, including standard costs, cost of goods sold, and variancesSupport budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate cost data and insightsAssist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring cost accuracyWhat you'll bring to the role?Proven experience or some exposure to manufacturing/ factory cost accountingStrong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reportingProficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical skills with attention to detailAn innovative mindset– you're not afraid to challenge the status quo & throw new ideas into the mixPositivity and a solutions-focused approach– nothing is ever a problemAbility to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field will be of advantageStrong communication and teamwork skillsIf you are an experienced Cost Accountant looking for a challenging role with a leading FMCG company, we would love to hear from you
