With a focus on innovation and community, we're looking for a skilled Distribution Line Designer to join our talented team.
The Role: As a Distribution Line Designer , you'll play a key role in designing and optimising the layout of electricity distribution lines for both residential and commercial areas.
You will work with engineers, planners, and contractors to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Design overhead and underground electrical distribution lines in line with industry standards and regulations.
Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports.
Collaborate with engineers and contractors to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Perform site visits and assessments to determine the best design solutions.
Stay up to date with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and techniques.
About You: We are looking for someone with a strong background in distribution line design who is proactive and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
You will have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
What You'll Need: A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in distribution line design or a similar role.
A solid understanding of New Zealand's electrical distribution standards and regulations.
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD Catan, etc.).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to safety and sustainability in all aspects of work.
A meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all you do.
