The OpportunityWe are looking for a Senior Siemens Automation Specialist to join our engineering team.
This role is responsible for troubleshooting automation and controls issues to ensure our plant is running efficiently so we can provide quality beverages for our consumers.
As the Siemens specialist, you will also support the upskilling of other engineers in Siemens.
We are currently in an exciting period of growth and will be investing in significant upgrades at our Wiri site.
What you'll be doingTroubleshoot automation & controls issues affecting manufacturing performance or supply.Ensure minimum disruption and downtime to plant machinery by troubleshooting and fault fixing issues.Monitor and back up HMI's, PLC's and other configurable systems.Assist in developing standards that can be used to ensure industry best practices.Work closely with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure changes are correctly communicated.What's in your toolkit?A Bachelor's Degree such as Mechatronics, Computer Science or relevant work experience in automation and controls engineering.Must be advanced in Siemens automation - ideally you will have around 5 years of experience troubleshooting and fixing Siemens issues.Hands-on experience with Krones machinery.Understanding of or experience with the principles of Machine Safety, Process Safety, and root cause analysis.Ability to make recommendations to continuously improve policies, methods, or procedures.A clear communicator that can connect with the team and key stakeholders to work through problems together.Due to the nature of our business, there will be some flexibility required to work after hours.
